Welcome to Chaminade
A Boutique Maine Coon Cattery in Melbourne, Australia
At Chaminade, our story begins with a deep admiration for the extraordinary Maine Coon — a breed celebrated for its majestic beauty, gentle nature, and remarkable character.
Inspired by timeless French elegance, Chaminade represents our dedication to thoughtful breeding, exceptional care, and the preservation of the Maine Coon's distinctive heritage.
We believe that responsible breeding is more than producing beautiful kittens. It is a commitment to understanding the breed, respecting its origins, and nurturing every new life with patience, knowledge, and genuine affection.
Our vision is simple: to raise beautiful, well-cared-for Maine Coons and help them begin a lifetime of love with their future families.
Guided by Passion. Defined by Care.
Preserving the Beauty, Character & Heritage of the Maine Coon.
At Chaminade, we believe every exceptional Maine Coon begins with thoughtful decisions and a genuine respect for the breed.
Pedigree & Heritage
We value carefully considered bloodlines, genetic diversity, and adherence to established breed standards. Our breeding philosophy focuses on preserving the Maine Coon's distinctive characteristics through responsible selection and informed breeding decisions.
Temperament & Early Development
We believe exceptional Maine Coons should be as wonderful in temperament as they are in appearance. Our approach emphasises gentle handling, early socialisation, and a nurturing environment to support confident, affectionate, and well-adjusted companions.
Health & Wellbeing
Health is the foundation of responsible breeding. We prioritise genetic screening for breed-specific conditions, including HCM, SMA, and PKDef, alongside veterinary assessments and preventive healthcare to support the long-term wellbeing of our cats and kittens.
A Beautiful Beginning to Every Life.
Raised with Love
